While all our stylists are well rounded in their training and skills, they each have certain things that they gravitate towards, and find especially fun. These specialties of course change as time goes on as we are a creative and artistic team. Growth and change are part of being an AKADA stylist. “What I’m really enjoying is creating fashion forward cuts. I love all things edgy, wispy, and layered. I also have a longstanding love for formal styling, as the go to stylist in our salon for formal hair; I love the sculpting aspect and the challenge of working with different textures and densities to give a personalized style that will last all day.”
“I love working with fine hair. I help women with fine hair get the movement, volume, and texture that they typically find a struggle. Sometimes less is more and adding dimension through color can be an added boost.”
A master stylist with 25 years’ experience, has always been passionate about the classics in haircutting.
” One of my most recent passions is Grey Blending and Multi-dimensional color, I love using multiple lightness and darkness on the same head of hair. Whether it be brunette, blonde, or red my goal is always to get rich, light catching and blended results. Changing contrasts depending on the season can keep a client feeling fresh and updated.”
“What I really enjoy are livable cuts and dimensional color. I have strong communication skills and the desire to get an individualized look for each client. Something that’s easy to maintain, fits their lifestyle and routine along with teaching them how to do their hair. The reward is great as people leave with the know-how to get the look, they want whether it’s for day or night.”
“One of my favorite types of cuts utilizes a client’s natural texture and enhances the wave & curl. I’m often told that with a little product and minimal effort, clients are able to recreate their salon look at home!
I love dimensional, warm colors. Creating tones that are both bright and natural is a fun challenge. Finding the perfect red for a client’s skin tone is so rewarding!”
“I really enjoy working with curly hair. Whether its cutting or coloring, long or short, I love finding what brings out each individual curl pattern, what works best for my clients face shape, hair care routine and lifestyle. There’ve been so many times I’ve been told after a service, ‘I never knew my hair could look this good’. Being someone who grew up with frizzy, unmanageable hair and thought I would always hate my hair, it brings me a lot of joy to help others embrace & love their natural texture like I have.”
“I value being able to give every client a personalized approach. Though I still love all aspects of cutting and coloring, I have been enjoying soft blended textures and blended balayage; they have great longevity and a graceful grow out, lifting the hair in a healthy way. I have also been focusing on emerging perming techniques. Though not for everyone there are so many healthy options that I can create beautiful curls for those who have always wanted them.”
“I have been a stylist for 10-years and still love it all! One service I recently added is the Brazilian Blow Out. I took an in-depth training and have been hooked ever since. The results are amazing and it’s so rewarding to see how happy my clients are with their hair. It’s a real game changer. Creating beautiful, blended blonde looks and fun fashion color has been very popular this season and I’ve loved it. Both looks require attention detail and finding the perfect tone to suit both eye color and skin tone. I love how it allows guests to look and feel their best while expressing themselves.”
“I enjoy creating dimensional hair color and layered cuts. Whether it be a foilyage, highlights & lowlights, or the classic long layers, I love putting depth, movement, and life into the hair. A little bit can go a long way to enhance someone’s features and personality, and I love being able to create that for each person that sits in my chair.”

Sherri brings a bundle of positivity to the salon every day! We are grateful how she takes care of our clients and adds joy to the everyday! She said, “I excel at LIVING and have done so for 67 years! My parents told me, ‘You have to work, so do something you love.’ Pretty sure they didn’t mean to party this many years, ha ha. I follow in my parents love for life.”
