What is "Face First Consulting"?

Face First Consulting (FFC) is one of the many things that makes Akada different. It is about designing a look specifically for every individual face. Maximizing the best features while minimizing the least. At Akada, our overall training is centered around technique, skill, shape, and understanding the how and why it all works together, versus teaching specific haircuts. This allows our stylists fluid creativity for personal design for each client. You will never see everyone leaving with the same exact haircut for this reason.

This is where FFC becomes important. Developed by our owner Anjel Mclaughlin, every stylist is taken through a series of exercises where the art of designing for the face is taught. This is imperative when it comes to helping people look their best, shining a light on the most beautiful aspects of your face. The stylist continues this training for years as they master their craft.

With a focus on facial design first, we also take into account your texture, what your hair will or won’t do, and your lifestyle. Together we hope you find this makes for a truly different salon experience.
